Access

Access by 4×4 only. The property is located within the Cantamar development at Playa Yankee 25, minutes south of San Juan del Sur. All roads outside of San Juan del Sur are dirt and the road up to the house is very steep. Small vehicles or other 2WD vehicles will not make it up the hills.

Modern Surf Bungalow

Like being close to the waves? Prefer to check your surf report by looking out the window? Want no more than 30 seconds between your pillow and the beach? We think you’re going to like it here.

Our modern surf bungalow also works for people who: need an enclosed garden to keep the little ones from running off, don’t like doing the dishes, require AC to sleep, need a desk to write their screenplays, want WiFi to show your boss you are really working and solar panels to keep everything running.

Access

All guests should be aware that we are located at the bottom of a very steep hill. It can be difficult for small or front wheel drive vehicles to get up the hill especially if it has been raining. Speaking of roads, the ones out to Playa Remanso are pretty bad. When it’s dry they are bumpy. When it’s wet they are muddy. For this reason, we highly recommend that all guests wishing to rent a vehicle make sure it has 4 wheel drive. Even if you don’t need the 4×4, the higher clearance and better suspension really helps.

Casa Paraíso – 2nd Floor

Be part of the vibrant Maderas Valley community when you stay at Casa Paraíso. Our 2 bedroom private apartment on the second floor of the building is walking distance to epic waves, soul inspiring yoga, relaxing massage, great restaurants and some of the best sunsets in Nicaragua. Or you can stay at home and enjoy the sunsets from our pool or patio. Our guests can sleep soundly (we have lots of hammocks 😉 knowing we’ve invested in solar panels & solar hot water to offset our power needs.

Everyone is going to love the views from Casa Marea Alta. From the dining area, to the pool, to our covered patio, it’s hard to find a space that doesn’t have an amazing view of the ocean and surrounding hills. This modern house is located just 5 minutes from downtown San Juan del Sur by car and 20 minutes from all the local beaches. While at home, you’ll enjoy cooking in our fully equipped kitchen or relaxing beside your private pool. Add AC, and wifi and you have the perfect vacation home!

At Casa Esmeralda you and your family are only a 15 minute walk from the restaurants and shopping in San Juan del Sur and a short drive to the surrounding beaches. About as close to town as you can get while still feeling away from it all. This stylish loft house with private swimming pool is only a 5 minute walk to the beach in San Juan del Sur. Or stay at home and let town drift into the background. The view of the ocean from our hillside suite is framed by lush vegetation so it doesn’t take much to forget where you are. Bella Vista

With 180 degrees of ocean view from Costa Rica to the coast of Nicaragua, Bella Vista literally stands above all other houses. Catch every sunset from our patio or infinity pool and never miss a wave with direct views of the surf breaks at Playa Remanso and Playa Hermosa. When it’s beach time, we have direct access to Playa Remanso at the bottom of our development.

Access

The house is located at the top of a very steep dirt road that is only accessible by vehicles with 4×4 capability and drivers who are comfortable driving off road. If you don’t have 4×4 or just prefer to skip the off road experience, private offsite parking is also available at the bottom of the hill for a fee of $5 per day. Transportation in our vehicle to/from the offsite parking is available 8am to 8pm Mon-Sat and is free of charge. If you choose to walk, the trip between the house and the offsite parking spot takes approximately 20 minutes.

Talanguera Townhomes 201B

Unit 201B is the newest townhome in the Talanguera development and has the best ocean views of all the suites. The balconies off the master bedroom and living area offer unmatched views of the pool, garden area and San Juan del Sur bay. The townhome is fully equipped with modern appliances, cookware, hot water and we have AC in every room. The development is located at the north end of San Juan del Sur bay just a block off the beach and only a 12 minute walk into town.

The townhouse itself is 1200sqft spread over two floors. The two bedrooms are on the main floor and the open living/dining/kitchen are located above. Venture up our spiral staircase at sunset to the roof for a spectacular view of town, the bay and the boats in the harbour.

During your stay you’ll have access to all common areas including the swimming pool, garden and green space. You are also welcome to use the large charcoal BBQ by the pool.

From the vaulted hardwood ceilings to the unimpeded ocean and sunset views, you are going to love your stay at Latitude Eleven. This fully furnished property features 4 bedrooms including a separate casita with master suite. The main pool area has an outdoor shower and covered rancho where you can escape the sun or just lay in a hammock. The house is conveniently located just a few minutes’ drive from town and only 10 minutes from the surf at Playa Maderas. Also includes AC, hot water and wifi.

The four bedrooms at Latitude Eleven are split across two buildings. The main house has 2 bedrooms on the top floor with access from the kitchen/living area. There is also a suite with bathroom on the bottom floor with private entrance from the pool deck. Our separate “casita” is accessed down a couple of stairs from the pool area. The casita has a queen bed, full bathroom and kitchenette with fridge and toaster oven. The casita also has its own BBQ and deck for taking in the sunsets.

Tranquil sunsets, private pool, amazing ocean views, and all within walking distance to the beach and restaurants in town. With room for 10 people in 4 bedrooms, Casa Altamare is located in a small gated development overlooking the north end of San Juan del Sur bay. A stroll down the beach to town takes about 20 minutes or you can entertain at home and make use of our modern, fully equipped kitchen. The house also comes with A/C, hot water, cable TV, fibre optic internet and a backup generator.

Casa Altamare is part of a small, three home development at the north end of San Juan del Sur bay. Our gated development is fully enclosed by walls and a security fence and the gate is manned 24 hours per day.
